Description
The Freshwater Pearl Pendant Necklace is a single pearl on a whisper-fine chain - simple, soft and easy to wear with anything from a T-shirt to a wedding outfit. It sits just at the base of the neck, where the pearl's gentle lustre brightens the face.
Every pendant uses a freshwater cultured pearl of about 7 - 8 mm in a soft off-white. Freshwater pearls grow naturally, so each one has its own subtle shape, surface and glow - no two pendants are exactly alike. The pearl hangs from a small bail on a 1 mm cable chain, both in 18ct gold vermeil on solid 925 sterling silver, and the necklace adjusts from 40 to 45 cm. It layers beautifully with the Paperclip Chain Necklace.

Pearl care: pearls are soft and porous. Keep them away from perfume, hairspray and cleaning products, wipe the pearl with a soft damp cloth after wearing and let it dry before storing. Never soak pearls or use a jewellery dip.
About gold vermeil: gold vermeil is a premium form of gold-plated sterling silver - our vermeil is a 2.5 micron layer of 18ct yellow gold over a solid 925 sterling silver base - a much thicker layer than standard gold plating. With everyday wear the gold layer can soften over time, most quickly where the piece rubs against skin, clothing or other jewellery; the care guide below helps it last.
Care: put your jewellery on last and take it off first - after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and before swimming, bathing, exercising or cleaning. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store it in the Orevane pouch, away from other pieces, to prevent scratches. Do not use silver dips, abrasive polishes or ultrasonic cleaners on gold vermeil.

Wipe pieces with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store each one in its Orevane pouch to prevent scratches. Gold vermeil (a 2.5 micron layer of 18ct gold over 925 sterling silver) can soften gradually with everyday wear - never use silver dips, abrasive polishes or ultrasonic cleaners on it. Solid sterling silver naturally darkens over time; a silver polishing cloth brings back the shine. Wipe freshwater pearls with a soft damp cloth and never soak them. Our jewellery contains small parts - keep it away from young children.
